CATERING SERVICES

SERVICE PROVISION DESCRIPTION

To prepare and deliver a fresh weekly menu, with volunteer assistance on Tuesdays to be open from 11am to 2pm.

·  provide light lunches appropriate to the season to include: -

• at least one soup

• baked potatoes

• filled rolls, wraps or toasties

• hot/cold fillings, as appropriate

• side salads

·       plan menus and ensure they are advertised weekly

·       source ingredients locally (including from the nearby Community Shop) and within a weekly budget

·       prepare, cook and serve food

·       ensure excess food is stored or distributed appropriately

·       coordinate volunteers, including rota, baking and training

·       ensure all hygiene rules are followed and recorded

·       provide updates to the Hall's administrator on number of covers and sales

·       work with the administrator to promote the cafe within the local area

This pilot project extends the existing café services which currently provides about 100 meals (including hot drinks and cakes)  per month and which generates funds for the Village Hall after expenses.

Starting date: To be announced, but Community Cafe will run on Tuesdays

Duration: 6 months with the possibility to extend for a further six months.
